Castleman Quartet Program
Collaborative Piano
For over 20 years the Castleman Quartet Program has offered a piano intern summer program whereby young artists, employed or working on advanced academic degrees, are in residence at The State University of New York, Fredonia. Piano interns have the option to attend for seven weeks, the first 3 weeks, or the last 4 weeks.

Each year, four collaborative piano interns are accepted. The position is unsalaried, but attendance for interns is tuition-free, and room & board is provided. During their stay, each intern will be provided a locked practice room with a grand piano for personal practice and afternoon/evening rehearsals. The collaborative piano program is intensive, and many works are learned over the course of a session, most of which will be performed in session concerts. All interns will be coached by the string faculty in the quartet sessions.
