The Deering String Quartet

The Deering Quartet, including violinists Eliot Roske and Madison Ryan, violist Alexandra D’Amico, and cellist Anthony De Peña, is dedicated to the promotion of repertoire by historically underrepresented composers and the development of new music. Formed in 2024 and mentored by former violist of the Ives Quartet, Jodi Levitz, the quartet has made it their mission to uplift works by new and underrepresented composers while also inspiring their audiences to listen to a greater variety of classical works. The Miami-based Deering Quartet has performed across South Florida and has regionally premiered several major quartets including works by Henriette Bosmans, Florence Price, and Heitor Villa-Lobos. Recent performances include a recital at the Newman Recital Hall, as well as an appearance in the premiere recital of the Women in Music Concert Series at The Women's Club of Coral Gables.
